Hi, I’m Sophie Breckenridge, a 21 year old Gold Coast fashion, editorial and commercial photographer.
My journey in photography began back in Year 9 during a self-directed project called Flexible Learning, where I created a book on the exposure triangle. This project sparked my love for photography, and by Year 10 and 11, I was taking photos at school events and working as the school's photographer for promotional content. I was also selling my landscape images on photography cards at local cafes and markets.
In Year 12, while navigating career options, I realised my true passion lay in photography. I decided to pursue a Diploma of Photography and Digital Imaging at TAFE, a decision that boosted my technical skills and gave me the confidence to pursue my own business commercially.
What I love most about photography is the ability to capture beauty in people and moments they may not see themselves. Photography isn’t just a job for me; it’s a passion, and it never feels like work. My dream is to grow my business and shoot for major magazine publications like Vogue & RUSSH Magazine.
I can’t wait to bring your vision to life.
